| I'm running a Linux/Dos Hybrid BBS. Lord would run fine if I could force it to run "local" but pass user infomation to game.
example
Lord.exe \%node\% \%user\% /local
this way multi-users can all log in as "local" on diffent emulated sessions. But not have lord ask for your user name, which would lead to major cheating.

| It would be cool if the screens were broken back into separate files.. or a utility could be made to break them into separate files in separate directories, and back into the single file.. for easier editing... lord2ans and ans2lord... or something similar. At least would make modifying the screens easier. ;) |

| i'd like to get rid of the bartender/gems feature. too many people can use igms to just boost their stats to the max.
i suggest using the gems to create certain jewelry with stats. the user can only have a certain amount of jewelry, and they can abandon and create other types |

no more goofy igms that pretend the bridge the gap.
A way to connect ALL the lord games together.
perhaps if the lord games could connect to a certain server, and these participating sysops would contribute a small fee per year for server costs[?] |

| I wish this site had a linked list of bbs's that can be accessed by a telnet applet. A list that advertises the types of lord games available at each site and gets tested occasionally to make sure the links still work. So far I have only found 2 sites that I can play at, and only one that I have been able to successfully enroll in. For everyone that is looking that site is: serion.thebbs.org/connect.php

Sadly, Mrgriff, that telnet applet is sub par and riddled with problems. Display and input issues are two i can think up at this hour.
You can telnet into a system quite easily with a client. you can use windows telnet client or use mtelnet at http://ozone.eesc.com
there are many clients to choose from.
regarding bbses that run lord, and you only finding 2.. well, you're not trying hard enough :D

Please give a telnet client a try, you probably will enjoy it more than that garbage java applet.

well, that's a pretty crappy way to approach it. thing is, you CAN still run that seth version.
i dont see how metropolis' involvement has changed anything really. atleast it's been worked on and there have been web adaptations [that had to be removed for reasons i wont state here].
progress is good, if you dont like whats been done, run the older version, that's fine too.
there are some things i like about the new version of lord, and some things i dont, it's a trade off. it's just a bbs doorgame so i'm not crying over it.

| I have an idea to move all of the LoGD servers into one place. Well, also LoGD is a web version of LoRD(I've never played LoRD), well your idea sure is awsome maybe they can move the two game versions together to make a truly pwnsome rpg :D. |
